I already have several UBNT access points and several UBNT switches in use at home. They are all controlled by my Gen 2 plus Cloud Key and Edgerouter 12 which does the routing. I've always wanted to see what features are available and how well the USG routers perform, so I bought the Pro 4, which is less powerful than my ER12. Well, it definitely has a very good feature set and integrates perfectly with the Unifi controller. I have a 300/12 connection. UBNT claims to support IPS and DPI at around 250 Mbps. Well it was about 140 down and about 8 up. If you enable smart qos plus DPI and IPS, just forget about performance. The processor is too weak to use all the nice features of this router at speeds over 100Mbps (which most of us work with these days). UBNT should already be making a new USG that maybe can handle 400-800Mbps with IPS, DPI and QoS and won't cost us $2500 (like the discontinued XG lol). This one returns. But if UBNT comes out with something more powerful, I'm all for it. I'd skip current USG offerings and buy the ER-4, ER-6P, or ER-12 if you need speed and QoS.
