Review on Enhanced 3D Printing Supplies: HATCHBOX TPU Additive Manufacturing Filament by Victor Olsen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

HatchBox TPU (flexible) 1.75mm Filament

Another great filament from HatchBox. This is a fairly strong flexible thread. Not at all like NinjaFlex which is on the "soft" end of flexible filaments and requires a very slow print speed. This HatchBox filament prints at PLA temperature and can be run at normal print speeds. It won't stick to bare, clean glass like NinjaFlex (cold or hot) but produces high quality prints, albeit a bit stiffer. This is because HatchBox pushed the Flex rating closer to the top of the scale (95 out of 100), while NinjaFlex dropped to around 20. When printed at RX 190C extruder temperature the blue produces a very glossy finish. similar to their PLA in the same color. I also recently ordered their red and green flex filament and am expecting the same results as this blue spool. The secret behind flexible filament is to reduce infill for a more flexible print object and increase infill for a more durable print. Typically something in the 12-20 range for more flexibility, 25-35 for more stiffness. i love this stuff No noticeable odor when printing. I'm very happy with it and have put my NinjaFlex on the shelf even though it has a few specific uses.
