Review on Wusthof Gourmet Point Paring 3 Inch by Gary Beard

Pro: The knife and the scissors are very well made and very sharp. The scissors are comfortable to hold and feel comfortable in the hand. They seem great for slicing meat into strips. The bottle opener on the handle is a nice addition. A small twin knife seems sturdy. This is the perfect size for easy trimming. Cons: The scissors come apart for cleaning, which is a nice feature, although I think they come apart too easily. It doesn't take long to fully extend the handles and it's a bit surprising when the blades release so easily. This knife and scissors set was listed as 'New' and shipped direct from Revain. The box is dented and torn front and back. The opening of the box was torn on both sides. Worst of all, someone left greasy, caked fingerprints on the back of the box, which is disgusting. If it's supposed to be new, then why does the box look like it was hauled out of someone else's messy kitchen? I bought this set as a gift for someone. It would be nice to be able to present it in its original packaging. I also want to be sure that nobody used these products before they were sold. Looks like someone touched the box of food stains during lunch or something. I don't have time to return this item and get a new one because I'm giving it away in a few days. I need to find a new way to package knives and scissors. To be clear, the shipping box was not damaged, only the Wüsthof packaging was inside. This means that someone put the item in the shipping carton in this condition. It's really just unacceptable.
