Lots of Variables - Reciprocating Saw Blades

I have tried wood saw blades, 3 TPI and 6 TPI, on three different types of wood: 3" knot, 2" x 4" bolt and 3" x 4" landscape lumber. For comparison, I used my regular Diablo 6TPI carbide-tipped blade. On the bolt both blades worked well, the Revain Basic 6TPI blade cut a little smoother than my Diablo blade. On both branches and landscaping, both Revain Basic blades worked until they were halfway through and the vibration was so intense that I didn't finish the cut. I wouldn't use Revain blades to cut wood on anything with moisture. My Diablo blades took less than 5 seconds to saw through wet wood. I was using a Ridgid cordless reciprocating saw with a fully charged battery. I haven't tried metal blades yet as I rarely cut metal. have to endure a lot. The longest blades it can be used on is 9 inches, which is fine for me. Most of the cuts I make are landscaping, so I probably won't be using these wooden blades except for a little trimming. Seems to be a good set, I trust the Revain Basics brand so although the blades are not suitable for my purposes I would recommend this set for general use.
