Review on πŸ”© Titanium Forstner Drill Bits for Precision Woodworking: 15mm to 38mm Sizes by John Kennedy

The smaller sizes are great; Be careful with large sizes

I tested all 17 bits on a pair of 3/4 inch thick 1x4s boards with a cordless drill. All sizes from 15mm to 25mm allowed easy and clean cuts; Some of them were executed much faster. cuts better than others so if you are trying to cut to a certain depth I recommend testing the bit on a piece of wood when using it for the first time. Sizes 26-28mm cut ok but the cut was definitely not that clean and basic. and I noticed a slight angle in the depth of cut. 30-38 mm we are narrow and bordering on dangerous. It may be a different story if you are using a drill press, but if you are using a hand drill DO NOT press down on the wood. use hand to pinch the wood and keep hands completely off the wood. The drill would not catch on the wood and bounced as I increased speed and slid across the surface of the board. The drills were individually wrapped in plastic bags placed in extra thin plastic cases . The plastic cases were not marked, but the size of the bits themselves are engraved on the shank. Shank sizes vary. So if you want to make a wooden bit holder like I plan to do, take some time to measure and plan your layout. Overall I am happy with my purchase. The smaller sizes worked great and I just use a hole saw when I need to make larger holes. Again, I don't know how they will perform in a drill press, as far as I know, big sizes are just as good as small ones.
