I just installed a complete water filtration system for my whole house. I have only used Pentek filters and housings. I'm very happy with the performance of my system and how well everything went together. Here's a breakdown of all the components I used in my system. I've spent a lot of time researching what works and found that getting familiar with each Pentek filter and their features wasn't easy. The aim was to reduce the amount of sludge, iron deposits from old iron pipes and remove any chemical taste. The water is now great tasting and crystal clear Components: - Pentek Big Blue 20" Filter Housing - Big Blue Filter Housing Bracket 10" and 20" Filters IN ORDER: 1-Pentek DGD-2501-20 Spun Polypropylene Filter, 20 micron, dual stage to to 1 micron systems.- Various copper and PVC tubing to build the system.I highly recommend a bypass valve and a way to shut off the water to your filters if you need to replace them without losing water pressure in the house. - I've experienced near 0 psi drips through 3 filters and no noticeable flow change.
