Do yourself a favor if you really need a remote and separate radio head. DO NOT use a Kenwood two-way radio and especially this remote control head. He WILL fetch water, PERIOD. The lens is held in place by a thin double-sided tape that peels off with the heat. Go with a different brand, period. Please note: Forget the warranty, these sites and dealers are not authorized by Kenwood. Period. I got water after 2 months. I tried it, took off the bad tape and carefully taped the RTV clear. The lens bent in the heat and burst again! Useless. My option is to get rid of it completely, the radio and all, or try to dry it where it can/would work best, cut out a small plexiglass lens and pot it with epoxy without making a mess. I am considering looking for another system.
