The switch seems to be doing its job. But the nut that holds the switch in the jig isn't made of material thick enough (or not sharp enough) to hold it in the jig. The outside diameter of the nut is approximately 1/16 inch larger than the plastic thread it is screwed onto. So if your hole is a little over 3/8" it will fall through and you'll have to look for a really thin washer (regular washers are too thick - the threads aren't long enough). Most of these switches used come with washers! Also, the clip that attaches the cord to the chain and the metal weight at the end of the cord are not strong enough - when you pull to operate the light switch, the cord will deform the clip and it comes separately.
