I wanted to spend $400 on a new pair of Elac speakers even though my old speakers sound great. My old speakers are finished in oak veneer and looked a bit dated. The problem was, they still sound great. Thought I'd try updating her look with this shiny carbon fiber wrap. This VVivid film is easy to apply and the speakers look fantastic. They don't sound better :) but they certainly look like new speakers. I've had very little experience with vinyl in the past, but this film turned out to be better than the ones I've used. Make sure you have a felt-sided squeegee (you can use the open side before removing the protective film). I also used a slightly damp microfiber to flatten the sides after compressing the foil. When everything is assembled without bubbles or creases, remove the protective film and admire your work. You'll also need a heat gun (you can get by with a higher wattage hair dryer), scissors, and a sharp razor blade. If you messed up, clean it up and try again. This movie saved me from spending $375 and throwing away a set of classic AR speakers.
