Admittedly I was a bit skeptical at first but now I'm really convinced. I've used it to defrost beef, pork, chicken, and seafood. I've found that most 1-2 pound foods will defrost in 1-2 hours. The only downside to this is that thicker cuts (like 3-inch steaks or 3-pound roast pork) didn't thaw very quickly, but I don't think that was the goal for cuts this large. I found this very useful for weekday cooking during the earlier stages of takeout orders during the pandemic.
