I purchased these polypropylene rods to repair/weld a broken molded Polypropylene (PP) car interior panel as per the marking (>PP<) on the back of this sheet. The inner fairing had a broken clip retainer that not only had to be reattached but practically repaired. I guess when my truck was new the mechanics just put that plate back in place without caring if it broke or not. I think if you see that it's holding up then you'll be fine. Next. Well, this time they broke the thing. However, the fairing did not come off and only fell off after 100,000 miles. Since I only used a portable butane soldering iron to melt these sticks for the task at hand, it took me some patience to get it working. In the end, after sanding, the interior trim is back in my truck and like new (even better than new). I would definitely recommend these rods to anyone looking to repair Polypropylene (PP) plastic. With a little patience, practice and the right temperature at the heat source, I have learned what makes the difference. Never again will I try to glue plastic with superglue.
