I purchased these polypropylene rods to repair/weld a broken molded Polypropylene (PP) car interior panel as per the marking (>PP<) on the back of this sheet. The inner fairing had a broken clip retainer that not only had to be reattached but practically repaired. These are only 54 g (<2 oz) of polypropylene. At this price, that equates to $131 per pound. A more typical price for polypropylene welding wire is as low as $10 per pound. I bought 1 pound bags of assorted welding electrodes back then and in my haste didn't realize it wasn't a pound but others are paying attention.

Probably my fault but I thought it would fix an old 1991 Dodge gas tank. It was the lower melt temperature that created all sorts of problems sealing the cut. . Oddly enough, some of the non-polypropylene rods that came with the plastic welding kit turned out to be the correct plastic. I read that the gas tanks are polypropylene so I ordered that but like I said it didn't work. otherwise the bars were fine and I think they say. I just abused her.
