I had a whole bunch of rusted hitch mounting holes. I would clean them. I bought this and a 13/32 (hardened) drill bit and have been able to fix them better than new ones. Very easy to install if you take your time. Remember to use cutting oil or something like WD-40. Make sure you are aligned and aligned on both axes (keep yourself straight). Back off 1/4 or 1/2 turn every 1-1-1/2 turns to properly remove the burr. Before installing the coil, clean the threaded hole with a brush or compressed air. I also add a drop of Locktite before installing.
