Would have been a 5 star product with better instructions

The product worked great but be aware that it comes with little to no instructions. If this is your first time using this type of tool, you will need instructions or YouTube videos to show you how to use it. I found a helpful video on YouTube that solved the problem for me. But the manufacturer really should provide more detailed instructions or at least a link to a tutorial video in the product description. You will also need a specific size drill bit (13/32 I think) which is not included.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Savior! the best of the metric inserts and kits

I had a whole bunch of rusted hitch mounting holes. I would clean them. I bought this and a 13/32 (hardened) drill bit and have been able to fix them better than new ones. Very easy to install if you take your time. Remember to use cutting oil or something like WD-40. Make sure you are aligned and aligned on both axes (keep yourself straight). Back off 1/4 or 1/2 turn every 1-1-1/2 turns to properly remove the burr. Before installing the coil, clean the threaded hole with a brush or compressed…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not bad but...

The threads work fine. The working tool broke after two installations

I used it twice and part of the working tool which looked like a shank handle came loose. I called Thread Kits and the rep explained the lengthy warranty process by the retailer who would then have to go through the retailer to get some sort of warranty service. A more reputable company would have simply sent me a replacement if their product broke under normal use. I asked if I could just buy the insertion tool and he quoted me a price that was more than the cost of the entire kit including…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • No automatic

The local machine shop cut the cross-threaded studs and used Loctite.

Excellent quality product, no need to spend more money on another brand. I brought my car in for a replacement engine mount for the rear engine mount. The folks at the local auto shop went ahead and replaced it but twisted 2 of the 3 mounts and added some Loctite for me. Needless to say I wasn't satisfied. I drilled the aluminum holes with an 11/32 drill bit, tapped them with the included M10x1.25 thread (adding cutting fluid or some sort of lube), put in a perma coil (knocked out a small pin),

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
