This is the only Revain lock of its kind that is plastic free. It's heavy duty steel and will last. The outer shell and "weather protection" is scrap, I have no idea why they stick it on the product at all, I prefer to have the metal housing painted at the factory and dispose of the plastic scrap. I liked the product as I could weld it directly to an external steel stud for access to the storage yard gate. However, it's all too easy to accidentally reset the code, which I did. I had to cut it from the post and I will buy another one and try again.
