There are at least three sources on the Internet for videos on how to perform repairs. With this kit you can fix that pesky broken hinge on 27" iMacs released in 2012/2013. The iMac was originally mounted on a hinge with metal springs, with plastic washers holding the end/tension of the springs. Washers are locked. Self if only one snaps into place, the remaining spring is not enough to keep the screen upright. As a result, your iMac leans forward and stays there. You can find solutions on eBay that don't require disassembling the iMac. You can also avoid items between the stand and the back of the computer. But if you really want to fix the problem, you have to open the computer. Nearly impossible. Seriously. It was one of the hardest jobs I've ever done, but after some resistance, one With the tip of my thumb torn off and brushing up on my swear words, I finally managed to put the replacement pane back on its place z to screw. It took a little longer to assemble than disassemble as I cleaned along the way and wanted to make sure everything was put back together correctly. The double-sided tape that attaches the screen to the computer worked well, but OWC's other tape kits are better.
