This will not work with Salt & Pepper

Product looks and feels like a well made quality product. However, this does not work! The ball should crush the cinnamon stick, after which the pieces should fall into part of the grinder, where they will be ground into a powder. The ball did nothing. I don't really see how this is supposed to do anything. The cinnamon stick just lies next to the ball. The twisting motion does nothing other than the ball crushing the racquet. The spinning motion appears to power part of the grinder and does nothing to help crush the rod to allow the pieces to enter the grinder. So I broke the cinnamon stick into pieces so they fall into the grinder. I placed the weighted ball on the chips and turned away. I ended up with a very small amount of ground powder that didn't even count as a "pinch" of nutmeg after tossing for 15 minutes. Most of the chips stayed in the mill and were not ground in the mill. I doubt this product is missing an essential part to make it work properly. The instructions do not indicate that there are more details. I would like to see a video on how to use this product. It's a shame because it really does look like a quality kitchen product. Buyers should exercise caution when attempting to return this product. This is an international product from the UK and the buyer will have to pay out of pocket to send it back which is very expensive and not worth the hassle and cost. However. I bit the bullet and sent it back anyway, but this will be the first and last time I will be ordering an international product through Amazon.
