A colleague of mine recently introduced me to the Carrabasset Coffee Company via the internet and when I referred another friend to them he started making a Mr Coffee coffee press to use the ones he found at Walmart. I decided to play around with the French Press and became a complete coffee snob. I use this product every morning at work and it's fantastic. I'm the only one drinking so I get almost two full cups of coffee with this 6 cup press. We're talking regular LARGE coffee mugs, not the small 4 or 6 ounce mugs you see in fancy coffee shops. Two cups is more than enough for me as I can now brew stronger coffee with my own set and brew time. Everything here is of a high quality, I've even had a few occasions where I was a little less gentle with the wash. at the end of the shift. The plastic and glass are still in great condition (I've read some reports of broken glass from different brands, but no problem here). The strainer and press are also of high quality and separate the coffee grounds from the coffee very well. I did notice that pouring out the last coffee leaves some sediment, but I attribute this to the grinding of the beans themselves as they are very fine. For the price you can't beat this press, I have already ordered two other friends based on my suggestions and they love it. If you are hesitant to invest in a French bank, pull the trigger with this bank, it's a great product.
