Bought a pair of these keys for my '06 Grand Prix. I tried to cut them at Walmart but they refused because of the transponder in the key and told me to go to the dealer. So after Walmart I decided to cut them up at Home Depot. After I told them that I take full responsibility for any problems with the transponder, they cut them out for me free of charge. Both keys fit perfectly but each had to be cut twice as the master key was quite old. and worn out. Programming Grand Prix keys is very simple: 1) Use the master key to start the engine. 2) Stop the engine and remove the master key. 3) Within 5 seconds of removing the master key, start the engine with the new key and that's it! Once again this method works for the 04-08 Grand Prix. If you have another vehicle, be sure to read the owner's manual first.
