So far so good. We installed this on our front door from the garage a few weeks ago. We do NOT have a latch so I can't say how or if it installs if you have one. The only complaint I can make about the installation is that the small installation screw (optional) that prevents the lock from being picked needs to be installed after you've already screwed the lock to the lock. If you're using this for a short term rental, hotspot for maintenance, or in a situation where you want to protect the lock from tampering, there are ways to protect it, just take the extra step.
