I started out on a Garmin 10 and while I thought the watch was great, I was disappointed that it only gave me the current pace and not the average pace for a mile . While it may not matter that much to some, I was training for my first half marathon and was concerned with how fast I averaged a mile, not how fast I'm running now. Also, I wanted to add a heart rate monitor and 10 is not compatible. After doing some research and speaking directly to Garmin, I bought the 210 along with the heart rate monitor. I was not disappointed. The watch works exactly as I hoped it picks up GPS data fairly quickly and I've set it to show me my current heart rate along with my average speed per kilometer. When I get home I put it in the docking station and the watch just loads into the computer. As a pleasant surprise, I put on the heart rate monitor for an indoor workout and turned on the watch. The watch recognized that I shot without my participation and marked the workout on my calendar when I uploaded the information. On Saturday I will be running my second half marathon wearing my Garmin 210 to speed up the race. I couldn't be happier with the purchase!
