PROS: Provides a strong signal in small to medium sized homes (we have a 2100 square foot two story house and the modem needs to be in the corner). general floor plan, but with this router we get full coverage everywhere.) Armor, which analyzes your smart devices for vulnerabilities. Easy management and setup with an iPhone or Android app (initial setup only took 10 minutes and I'm happy to check/change/run speed tests with my phone) - Outperforms a/b/g/n generation routers in throughput ( You can use more of the actual bandwidth of the modem). It also outperforms almost all Wifi 6 generation routers according to independent reviews (there are some that have a bit more bandwidth but have less range or aren't as good at handling walls, etc.). We have a family of four. During the day there are almost always two simultaneous video streams and we have 17 smart devices including several surveillance cameras. As I noticed, this router handles all traffic with no loss of quality. CONS: - (subjective) Looks ridiculous. It looks like a spaceship has landed on your desk. You might like this look, but I prefer Apple's cleaner "aesthetic" look. But hey, if those crazy wings (antennas) help him smash through walls and floors, I can definitely live with that. HUGE area for a router. This is probably the largest footprint I've seen in a wireless router. That's about 25 x 30 cm (10 x 12 inches) of work space to set aside. Presumably you can put it under something if you don't want it to get in the way. Expensive. Look for offers on this! The manufacturer's suggested retail price is around $400. I bought it for significantly less than the MSRP and still find it overpriced for a wireless router. BUT, it works well enough to justify the price I paid. I just think the MSRP isn't a starting price for a router.
