I ordered this to replace a worn frame on my SentrySafe (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A75EVJO). It was a very quick installation - all I had to do was unscrew the ends of the included post (on the right in the photo), unscrew my existing post and then screw in the new one. It's a very tight/perfect fit. So if you can't compress the post to install it this way, you can also completely remove the old post, swap it out, and then reinstall with tools - I just found that I could easily do it without any -all tools and it only lasted about a minute. The new frame seems even stronger than the old one, but I can't be 100% sure as I've had the safe for about 6 years now and the frame is failing. for the last 2. I'm glad the safe opens again quickly!
