Review on ZWILLING J.A. Henckels Sommelier Stainless Steel Waiter's Corkscrew by Kevin Shimmens

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good sharp edges

I'm a sommelier in a New York restaurant. I opened hundreds of bottles a week. This is one of the best wine keys I've ever used, with one caveat: the edges are very sharp. Brushed stainless steel is a beautiful corkscrew, but the angular lines that make it so aesthetically interesting also create edges that can tear both clothing and, to a lesser extent, skin. However, the foil knife is long and sharp (which is often overlooked) and the key is easy cork removal. Overall worth a few bucks more for a tool that works consistently and easily.

Pros
  • Corkscrew and bottle opener
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other pickaxes
