NOT metallic! More precisely, hardly metallic.
This pen is DEFINITELY not worth $8. It feels tiny and cheap, and MUCH less metallic than I was hoping for. More like a *light* metallic dark grey. I bought a cheap $2 calligraphy marker from Walmart which gives it more shine (see photo - *Disclaimer: I'm obviously not a professional calligrapher, but color was the main contrast here)! So disappointed. Also doesn't work on textured paper, even heavy paper, as it doesn't make a smooth line.
