I bought the 10x25mm variant of these binoculars partly for the upcoming eclipse and partly to observe the sun at a different time. They work like any other binoculars and are very portable. Keep in mind that the fairly small lens can make finding the sun a bit tricky, as until you find the sun everything you see is black. As soon as you do this, the sun becomes a white disk. If you're planning on getting them for an eclipse, I recommend practicing with the full sun a few times to get a feel for finding them and setting the focus to your liking. Also, it would be helpful to wear a hat and binoculars to block out as much light around the eyes as possible, as this light can make finding the sun difficult. Aside from that issue, which is to be expected given the small field of view, they are excellent. If I had to do it again I would choose the 42mm lens version. . Hopefully I'll see sunspots someday.
