Review on Actron CP7830 Vacuum Pump for Handheld Applications by Jake Powell

I bought this pump to replace my plastic vacuum pump which was probably two decades old and eventually broke its handle. I figured the metal construction would make it a solid product. And it looks like he's doing fine now. Now I fixed it! There is a small clip on the top of the grip that attaches the grip to the stock. This clip popped up the second time I used it! Luckily I found it on the ground about ten feet away from me and was able to reinstall it. I ended up taping the clip with a quick tack to keep it from popping out again and now it works great. I suppose a stronger clamp could do the job as well, but as I use it several times a day as a pro I don't want to have to constantly fix it! If it doesn't last I'll just pay the extra money for a powerful new vacuum but I was very disappointed that it broke so quickly! EDIT: It's been over 18 months now and it's still working great. I dropped it once and the clear plastic gauge cover broke, but the gauge and pump still work perfectly. I have upgraded my rating to three stars (it would be five if not for a brand new product in need of repair)
