MUST BUY! I first bought regular Addi circular needles (blue cord without the rocket) and oh my god it makes an amazing difference! For the record, I'm working on a 60 inch blanket in 5 gauge superfine merino wool yarn (the cow's sugarbush and Beaufort lizard in the photo, by the way) and while 13 gauge needles are recommended for the yarn, I don't want to have too much space between the larger pearl stitches, use #11. On these original Addi #11 circular needles I get 4-5 stitches per square inch and it takes about 25 minutes to knit each row. Reverse with the Rocket Addi circular needles, which I get the same size but in literally 12 minutes per row. It might not matter to someone who needs to make a small project, but for a 60" x 60" quilt that usually takes me 4 months to make, it makes a HUGE difference. I'm literally saving 156 minutes (2.5 hours) each day (13 minutes per row at 12 rows per day) which means that when I finish this quilt I will save about 65 hours over the total time it takes to make it of this quilt (4-5 rows per inch, 60 inches long). , that's about 300 lines or 3 total 900 minutes). Since I only knit about 3-4 hours each day (I work) this means for me I can finish this project 17-22 days (about 3 weeks) faster! So, TLDR, it's not an exaggeration at all to call these needles turbo; Buy them if you want to save time and/or have a big project.
