It tries to be the jack of all traded sockets, but that might be a bridge too far to cross.

This interesting set may have just too many bells and whistles. It tries to be the jack of all traded sockets, but that might be a bridge too far to cross. The 72 teeth ratchet head is impressive and built well. The provided sockets are fantastic, but the "wedding cake” ¼” and ½” stud is awkward. It works, but then perhaps the tool should better have only two sizes of stud drives on opposite sides of the head: ¼” and ⅜” or ⅜” and ½.”One overt manufacturing decision (mistake?) that I noticed is that the ¼” drive stud was milled a bit offset to the ½” stud. The main issue with the set is that wide sockets that require a ½” stud drive also need a substantial moment to lock or open them. Unfortunately, this set has a small handle, so to effectively employ it with ½” sockets might prove ineffective.Another issue with this set is that the tiered-up geometry of the ¼” drive on top of the ½” drive prohibits the socket of the ½” drive extension bar from being fully inserted over the ratchet’s head ½” stud. Notice how the ⅜” extension bar fits perfectly over the ⅜” drive, as it has the traditional design. The main advantage that I see in this design is that if one has a box of miscellaneous sockets for ¼”, ⅜,” and ½” ratchet drives, you might only need this swiss army head to engage with all of them, but then again, it will not be very effective with the wide ½” drive sockets.
