Purchased to protect a hidden compartment in my gun/ammo box. I don't want to change the batteries every six months because to get to the compartment you have to drain the cabinet. I want to run it on USB power. When I first plugged in the USB port, the lock wouldn't turn on. After experimenting with this, I found that the pin/plug goes in just a little further to make proper contact. Solved with thin cardboard (the lid is from another Revain box). This little spacer creates the perfect contact. A small paper washing machine will also work. Hence 1 star because I had to make changes to make it work properly. Otherwise a great product, fully meets my requirements.
