that many people unnecessarily replace, I've narrowed the problem down to this part

Exact part for a 2005 Chevy Uplander. I found out that this was the reason why my check engine light po449 came on. After extensive research and ruling out a faulty gas cap, which many people unnecessarily replace, I narrowed the problem down to that part. Then I managed to find its location, unfortunately it is on top of the fuel tank. In general, I managed to remove it without much difficulty by jacking up one side of the van and only partially lowering the fuel tank. I made sure it was almost empty before making the exchange. An item you should also purchase to go with it is the ACDelco 19257603 GM Original Equipment Evaporative Emissions Canister Vent Valve Solenoid Jumper Wiring Harness. The factory plug doesn't fit the new sensor, but the adapter works great. Now the built in check engine light is gone and I probably saved my family a few hundred dollars on parts and labor. Now I can do my annual exam. My next nuisance to investigate and just ordered a part to try and fix is a flickering headlight and power delivery to the electronics. I recently replaced the battery which I believe was caused by a faulty voltage regulator. Research shows that people who go to a mechanic end up replacing the entire alternator without changing the problem. TSB was apparently already released in 07' but closed. Maybe there weren't enough accidents for the headlights to go out when driving at night. The last report indicates that the voltage regulator needs to be replaced.

Cons
