I've been roasting and grinding coffee for 25 years, so I know my way around coffee. I use all kinds of coffee makers and while filter coffee isn't my favorite method, I still do it quite often. My wife took my old pack of filters to salvage seeds from the garden, so I ordered these filters by buying them from the Made in the USA tip. Since then I have been brushing my teeth, coffee cups, car, hot plate and pot. Tried smaller batches (4 cups), coarser grind and lighter starch to see if that would help but still couldn't get rid of the need for Copius floss. Out of frustration, I bought cheap Walmart brand unbleached filters from Walmart, and they kept the soil where it belongs...in the filter!
