The quality of this product is very good - really excellent. I can't remember exactly how long it took to install, but it wasn't too difficult. The hardest part was cutting the foam and clearing a way to thread a metal brace through it and bolt it to another metal brace under the seat. I couldn't think of an easy way to clear the path of the cut styrofoam pieces, so I just moved a serrated bread knife back and forth until it was crispy enough to move the clamp. Part of the problem was that I have a heated seat and didn't want to cut the wires, so I was very careful when cutting. It's not as bad as it looks and I'd have no hesitation in making another seat with that backrest.
