Review on LaCie 160GB d2 Extreme Hard Drive - USB2.0 and FireWire 400/800 Interfaces (301033U) by Brandon Pratt

I bought this to back up all my iTunes purchases and digital pictures. Now that it's running, it's serving me perfectly. It's quiet, runs cool, and offers near-instant file access (I access via USB 2.0). Just be careful when setting it up for the first time. Being male and initially ignoring the installation instructions, I didn't realize that the drive appeared to be preformatted for use with Apple and not Windows. Don't repeat my mistake! After reformatting the drive as instructed it worked great and I've been happy ever since.
