Review on 🏒 M-D Building Products 8664 Adjustable Aluminum Threshold with Vinyl Seal - 36-Inch by Chad Moser

The end result is worth some excitement.

If you have a variably tapered gap door due to sagging or floor issues and don't want to screw the door closer to the outside, this stop is the best solution I know of. found. Other designs I've seen didn't allow for cone adjustment. The first one worked well enough so I got a second one for a different door. The installation is probably too finicky for the typical homeowner. A few tips: 1) Check which center piece orientation provides the best hole alignment. Additional drilling was not required. 2) I pressed in two pressure seals for the middle part with a scraper. Do the one that faces outward first. Try setting the middle. If it is already tight, skip the 2nd seal inside. I don't expect any moisture issues on this side if the main D-ring is in place. 3) The 1/4 inch space between the aluminum of the adjustable center section and the door worked well for me. Make a fine adjustment. Step on it and check again. This way you don't have to tighten one side of the main gasket every time to make the adjustment.
