EXCELLENT QUALITY! Would love to see bigger pipes at some point!

Water miscible oils have come a LONG way since I first used them over 25 years ago. Then I was not satisfied with the fact that I could not achieve rich dark shades, as with ordinary oils. Acrylic dries too quickly for the layers I wanted to use in my paintings. Now, as a mother of four who has to paint indoors and not in the studio I'm used to (i.e. good cross ventilation with regular oils but indoors) I decided to try them again after hearing from acrylic paints was disappointed. I was not disappointed. They work like regular oils without turpentine and they have a good drying time for me, less than five minutes slower than acrylics and I get nice DARK colors for light and shadow effects. For those who love the layering and translucent effects of oil painting, these work without the need for cross ventilation, although an open window is required if the smell of oil paint isn't to your liking. In general I am very satisfied. Along with a cup of water for a quick wash of the brushes before changing colors, I filled a smaller cup with some dish soap to further clean the brush and it works great. Then I dip it back into the cup of water and voila! NO MORE TURPS! Happy painting!
