Difficult to dig into the ground.

Plastic is too hard to dig into the ground. Even with a mallet, the tip breaks trying to drive it into the dirt. So you end up with a broken, unsightly marker. If the markers weren't broken I would return them. (I found some metal ones at my local shop that were much easier to install)
