This is a great update for FS5. Not only can you use it to record the raw signal from the SDI port to an external recording device. But it gives you the option to record 60p at 4k as well as 4k at 120fps in 4 second bursts. This is a full 4k signal, not UHD. I use it with Atomos Ninja Inferno, which I like as well. You need an external recorder to use this raw update. A few words about the packaging, which is why I'm only giving it four stars instead of five: it's basically a box with a code and website address on a piece of paper. in this. You go to a website, enter a code, and then you can download a key that unlocks the camera's raw features. Why they can't do this over the internet or via email like any other software transaction is beyond me. It's not just a box with a little piece of paper in it. But they ship it to you in a much bigger box. Of course I have free shipping, but, dude! What a waste of time and material. I really don't understand why Sony is doing this.
