Do not use aftermarket, you will replace it in 1-2 years. Get these OEM models and they will last. Mind you, if you want these firecrackers, something must have happened to burn them up. Run the engine dry (no water in the engine), the impeller is broken or does not work at all, the lower unit has no water during operation, the water inlet of the lower unit is blocked by weeds or debris. Once the water returns to the engine, everything is fine. You need them to prevent seawater from getting back up the exhaust pipe and into the engine when the boat slows down.
