Description of Quicksilver SHUTTER ASY WATER

For select MerCruiser stern drive and inboard engines. Acts as a check valve to keep following seas/water from washing back through exhaust to engine when engine is not running or at low RPM. Shutter is 2.48" diameter at cross pin (hinge pin). Easy to install with common shop tools. See your owner's manual or service manual for specific applications and replacement instructions.

Durable Solution for Outdoor Projects!

This product has become a STAPLE in my toolbox for all outdoor construction needs. It's not only easy to install but also has great durability to hold up against harsh weather conditions .The only downside is that its a little pricey compared to other similar products, but it's worth the investment for its long-lasting performance. A must-have for any tool collection in Tools and Home Improvement..

Terrible waterproof shutter option

Based on my experience this product was a complete waste of money .The shutter didn`t provide any adequate waterproof protection as promised, resulting in water damage to my property. It's frustrating because I purchased it to save money in the long run, but instead it caused even more expenses. The only pro I can think of is that it was easy to install, but that didn't make up for its lack of functionality. Save yourself the headache and invest in a different option..

OEM. Expensive but a must.

Do not use aftermarket, you will replace it in 1-2 years. Get these OEM models and they will last. Mind you, if you want these firecrackers, something must have happened to burn them up. Run the engine dry (no water in the engine), the impeller is broken or does not work at all, the lower unit has no water during operation, the water inlet of the lower unit is blocked by weeds or debris. Once the water returns to the engine, everything is fine. You need them to prevent seawater from getting…
