The low price of these socks confused me but I really liked them and I'm glad I have four pairs. They're thick enough to keep you warm in the winter but not as thick as some of the other winter wool socks I have, making them more versatile. In addition, they hardly shrunk when washed and retained sufficient elasticity even after several washes. I don't tumble dry them, but they air dry quickly. I wear these socks all the time when the weather is cold. They are also good for summer hikes as wool is breathable and moisture wicking. Overall I think it's fantastic value. It would be nice if they were in other colors but black suits me best.
