I bought this black light TWICE. Both times I got the cheaper 385-395nm version, but it was in the box with the 365nm version! I don't know who's to blame for this, but it really smells like a little scam. The 365nm version should be black and have UV lenses over clear lenses. Also, my first order was a RETURN item and it was missing the wall charger adapter. Also included both times were yellow UV goggles, which are clearly included in the cheaper 385-395nm version, but not in this more expensive 365nm version. I tested both wrong versions and both times I could still see the purple light. In this 365nm version, you shouldn't see any violet light until the UV hits something it reacts to, e.g. a black light poster or paint etc. The 365nm UV is said to be invisible to the naked eye. Check your order when you receive them, they all seem to be packaged incorrectly and you're basically wasting $30 if you decide to keep them!
