It was easy to use and worked until it was exposed to heat. The steam from what I was cooking crumpled the LCD. I can still read it if I get it at the right angle, but it seems silly that a thermometer advertised as measuring high temperatures should have a digital display that can't actually be exposed to steam from the same heat source. .
