Review on πŸ“ Black Rhodia Head Stapled Shopping Pad, Lined - No. 8, 74x210mm by Amy Mcleod

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic paper. Useful, versatile and affordable.

Awesome paper. Very smooth, elastic, non-absorbent. Somehow all these things are still very light, so they feel thin and elegant. I used a crow quill (a dip pen nib specially made for fine lines and therefore has a needle tip and catches everything, for those who don't know) with very fine fountain pen ink and Rhodia is the only paper. I could learn from my possibilities what keeps him from bleeding and leaning on the edge of incomprehensibility. The pen didn't understand what I was writing and the lines came out perfectly clean. Even the heavy, high-quality art paper I tried couldn't handle this combination of ink and pen, resulting in feathering and feathering. For comparison, there is a piece of normal printer paper. Many of the letters on the printer paper are distorted and smeared because the pen got stuck 5 times in one sentence. The ink bled and smeared at a ridiculous rate, making the writing look messy and ugly. Once again, Rhodia has had none of these issues and remains my go-to paper for personal writing, practice, and all those picky pens. For projects, I'd recommend heavier paper just because it's...well...heavier. When I'm making an important document I need some heavier paper, but this paper is not for that and not what I want. . The lightness of this paper makes it ideal for things like writing and journaling. I have yet to find paper that is as effective for calligraphy.
