They should be installed in the opposite direction from the standard posts. If you look at the ends of the clamps, there is a bend at one end. On this unit, they are reversed from the OEM struts, meaning they must be installed backwards to get the correct geometry. If you place both devices side by side, you may find that they need to be flipped. So far they've worked well. Time will tell about the durability. I'm taking off a star just because there's no direction and realize they need to be reversed.
