I bought this because I needed an alternative to nickel plated thread which I find to be too slippery for some types of thread. Pros: ultra light; The ends are flat so they don't roll, smoother and more slippery than wood or plastic, not as slippery as nickel, so you can easily knit cotton or soft baby yarn. Cons: Dimensions are unclear. They only show metric size, which is fine, but the size is stamped on each end so it's the same color as the rest of the plastic, making it difficult to read. (I will write the size with a marker) Also, I recommend washing or silver polish before use,
