Review on Relay Aqara SSM-U02 5 A by Mateusz Majchrzak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

Bought for light control. A 45mm Schneider socket is included in the side dimensions, a Schneider Unika switch is placed on top, but only if there are no wires inside the socket and in the switch (none). Otherwise, it does not fit a couple of millimeters. He pulled it out of the case, pulled it into heat shrink, immediately -5mm of height is won. It does not connect to the akara hub of the 1st version (Chinese server region), the hub says that the device is connected, but it is not in the list. Mihome from vevs also says that the 1st version of the hub is not supported. BUT! in the application house (apple homekit) the relay appears and works fine with it, which is what I need. The Schneider unique switch with backlight, under any connection scheme, the backlight will not work in it, it is necessary to modify the switch (take out an additional wire from it, bypassing the main terminals) and connect it to L1 (where the lamp is neutral). As a result, after all the modifications, the switch fell into place, the backlight in it works normally, the light is controlled through the homekit. I'm attaching the wiring diagram in case it helps anyone.

Pros
  • Works on a network without neutral, works with homekit
Cons
  • Large case in height, not friendly with the 1st version of the akara hub, there is no version for two relay outputs in the same case (claim to the akara), in backlit switches, this same backlight does not work under any connection scheme
