Review on Lisle 81850 Combination Brake Lining by Cory Spence

I am an automotive technician with 25 years experience and use this product to measure brake pad thickness without having to remove the wheel depending on the design . I was hoping the product would be metal and not plastic. I prefer metal because it doesn't bend when I try to fit it into a tighter gauge point. The plastic bend is too strong but still works. I removed the chain and installed a 6mm x 1.0 bolt with a self-locking nut to keep it straight but still swing freely rather than dangling everywhere like the chain did. It's not worth the price to me just because of the plastic. If I had known it was plastic and not metal I would not have bought it.
