Review on Westmark Multipurpose Vegetable Interchangeable Stainless by Shannon Taylor

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not Ikea, not even close. It's just plastic and resembles a rotating grater.

I bought this to replace a very old Ikea, ended up buying another Ikea and gave this to a thrift store. It has 3 graters, which I like. The third is for cutting only. Who handles a rotating grater just to make a slice of cheese? The other two are the usual coarse and fine graters. The problem I had with this grater was that it felt fragile. Ikea is bigger, this Westmark is thinner and the grip is loose. There's enough slop that it doesn't line up properly, and you have to adjust the knob to close it. At Ikea, the graters are wound onto the main part. This Westmark has an extruded plastic tongue that opens/closes. It looks and feels cheap, and once it breaks, the whole grater is garbage. It feels like someone took a good idea and tried to make it as cheap as possible.
