The counter is accurate and has all the useful features one could wish for in this price range. My favorite part is the negative display - it's easier on the eyes and MUCH brighter and sharper than many other gauges. Stereo Bluetooth sounds great, although I never use it personally it's a great feature. Asterisk is a dubious "feature" where the device emits a loud, sudden, and continuous beep after it's been powered on for more than a few minutes, after which it turns off and goes to the clock display. To reset this "function" you need to press the REL button (or another button on the UI I think). This will reset the timer and you now have 10-15 minutes before the device yells at you. This happens regardless of what you do with the meter and whether it is plugged in or running on batteries. Also, you cannot turn off the beep. You cannot turn off this "feature". It's funny and makes me want to not even use it half the time. The beep is loud and annoying. I could just open the meter and remove the buzzer, but that would destroy other features I like about the meter (continuous beeping, etc.). ten minutes, that's a great session.
